Mounting Options

Artboard
A smooth, budget-friendly finish to your photograph, Artboard strengthens your print and prepares if for framing. We use industry leading 4x and 5x artboard and offer two mounting methods:
Artboard Flush Mount is cut flush with the print. This option creates a more presentable edge if the print isn't going to be framed. Note that the final size will be slightly smaller than the print size ordered.
Artboard Mounting for Framing does not have a finished edge. The artboard may extend slightly beyond the print which will be hidden when framing.
Masonite
A step up from artboard, Masonite is a smooth-surface wood substrate. At a mere 1/8" thick, this rigid hardboard resists warping and is the most durable of all mounting surfaces.
High-end, rigid, adds weight, hardboard masonite
Gator Foam
Lightweight, durable and non-warping, Gator foam is a rigid foam board with hard backing. Prints are mounted with pressure sensitive materials.
3/16” Gator foam leaves the foam visible on the sides.
1/2” Gator foam comes with white or black edging options and routed holes in the back for easy, frameless hanging.
Black Styrene
Durable, rigid and strong, Styrene is a smooth plastic mounting substrate. Resistant to warping, 2mm Black Styrene adds durability to prints without the cost and weight of Masonite.
Note: This item is only available in 11x14 and 8x10

Coating Options

Coating
For PHOTOGRAPHIC surfaces
Lustre spray is an UV protectant coating that guards against scratching and damage to your prints as it blends invisibly into the surface of photographic paper.
Brush Stroke
For PHOTOGRAPHIC surfaces
Brush stroke is a process that leaves visible brush lines across the surface of the print to give it the artistic feel of an oil painting. Prints are first mounted and matte sprayed, then coated with Protec glaze.
Lamination
For PHOTOGRAPHIC and PRESS PRINTED surfaces
Lamination is a thicker coating applied with heat. Choose from soft-touch velvet matte or gloss.
UV Coating
For PRESS PRINTED surfaces
UV Coating is a light-weight high-gloss coating that is cured with ultraviolet light.

Machine Texturing

For added effect, Pebble or Irish Linen textures can be pressed into your prints to give them that top-quality look that is only available with a professional print lab.

Added bonus: the extra texture makes your images difficult to scan without a great loss of quality.
